Moshi-Moshi is a design studio created by Mitsue Kido, a Chilean architect of Japanese origin. The company focuses mainly on the design of lamps made of paper and inspired by the art of origami. Located in Santiago de Chile our interest in the use of paper responds to a personal interest in the Japanese heritage and an aesthetic research through the technique of Origami.
All lamps are made using a mineral paper called “stone paper”, which is completely natural, recyclable, heat resistant, water repellent and durable.
When the lamps are off, its geometry creates a beautiful play of lights and shadows. When they are lit, the paper shines with an elegant transparency and the object acquires its own brilliance.
