The value of time is quite ambiguous and difficult to qualify. On one hand we have a very clear definition of days and hours. However, the value attributed to time varies for each person. Cross stitching is an activity often classified as leisure; not everyone values it equally. Bastidor is a wall clock which is made of all the tools you need to cross stitch. Only a quartz machine was added to the process to shape the clock. The process itself becomes the object of contemplation where the tool to fix the embroidering canvas becomes the frame for the Bastidor Embroidered Clock and the embroidered motifs become the reference numbers.
How Its Made
All Bastidor Embroidered Clocks are made in my studio and cross stitched by my mother. From the embroidery hoop, the wall clock gets its shape, and with the embroidered numbers, the new clock is born.
