How Its Made
Noting the amount of wood discarded by a box factory, French design studio Hurlu decided to use this waste material for the production of the BEC family. In an industrialized world where tons of waste is produced daily, giving a second life to these in principle unusable materials, can be a great way to reduce the ecological footprint which leads to mass production. The studio produces this collection in small French industries, as the association eco Workshop integral of Bordeaux, promoting and strengthening the economy and local industry. The BEC collection features three types of lamps, where the wood is used as a material to create a cube that contains the light source. The laminated faces with openings allows light to project an energetic game of shadows. Dimensions of BEC Wall Lamp are: 180 mm x 180 mm x 180 mm.
