Presentation : The collection “Benchi“ (which means «bench» in Japanese) is a set of courses with purified lines available in open source (license CC BY-NC 3.0 FR). “I wanted to make a design furniture with pur shapes, affordable materials that can be customed and most of all easy to make by anyone.“ From this wish the “Benchi Mini“ was born. A low stool with Japanese lines that has the particularity of being proposed in Do It Yourself (DIY). Thus the plans are shared online for free so people can build their own stool. By sharing his creation, Ludovic FALEDAM, Barbadine Design’s chief designer, is expecting to have good surprises : “I like the idea that all can appropriate a work to make it a personal object. I hope that everyone will feel free to put his personality in it. Can’t wait to see what people will do !” So, feel free to paint the wood structure, to change the straps, the color of the yoga maps or the maps, to give it your personal style. Today, the Benchi collection includes two low stools (Benchi Mini and Benchi Petit), a classic stool (Benchi Standard), a bar stool (Benchi Haut) and a bench (Benchi Long). The plans are available by email on request. And for allergic to do-it-yourself not to panic, Barbadine Design offers you its stools already mounted !
